WOC selection races announced

The WOC 2012 selection races for the Irish senior squad are to be held at the Jubilee five competition in Scotland. The competition takes place from June 2nd – June 5th in the Royal Deeside area.

Races will include Sprint, middle and long distance. The long distance race is also the Scottish individual champs and a world ranking event.

The Irish squad are guaranteed top quality competition, the weekend is also the GB squads WOC selection competition. It is hoped that a full turnout of Irish squad members will compete at this event.

Irish squad membership forms available

The new 2012 Irish senior squad membership form is now available. The form is important for all those who wish to be considered for the Irish WOC2012 team.

Welcome to the Team Ireland WOC 2012 blog

Welcome to the new Ireland team blog for the 2012 World orienteering champs (WOC) to be held in Switzerland.

We hope to provide up to date information for those hoping to make the trip to Switzerland as part of the Ireland WOC team including all the important selection and training information.

The blog will also serve to keep the Irish team’s many fans up to date with the team’s progress during the World champs as they endeavour to mix it with the worlds best orienteers.
